Many display screen users suffer from very serious musculoskeletal problems as well as back and eye problems. These can be extremely debilitating to office workers, but easily prevented.
To provide delegates with the practical knowledge and skills to work with display screen equipment and an introduction to simple ergonomic principles so that they can sit properly at their workstation.
Structure & Content: 2 hour – 4 hour
- Overview of current legislation
- An awareness of the hazards and risks encountered whilst working with display screen equipment.
- Ergonomics of the workplace, how to position screen and sit properly
- Eye and eyesight testing
On completion of this course a Phoenix Safety certificate will be awarded to successful delegates
This is a basic 2 hour awareness course. The course can be extended to 4 hours and cover other office hazards such as electrical, storage, etc. Alternatively, the course could be run over 4 hours and include display screen risk assessment.
