NEBOSH (National Examination Board of Occupational Safety & Health) General Certificate
Regulation 7 of the Management of Health and Safety at Work 1999 requires an organisation to have access to a competent health and safety advisor. The NEBOSH General Certificate provides delegates with the minimum academic health & safety qualification, added to their experience, to underpin the requirement of competence.
Overview
The NEBOSH general certificate syllabus is based upon risk assessment and is designed to provide the underpinning knowledge that delegates to discharge more effectively their duties or functions in workplace health & safety.

Assessment & Certification
The course has two x 2 hour examinations (A1 – The management of safety and health; A2 – Controlling workplace hazards) and a workplace practical assessment.
Upon successful completion NEBOSH will issue an internationally recognised certificate of competence.
If you want a career in health & safety you will find no better place to start. The course is 14 day duration. This includes 2 days for examination, and a study day. It is run in a number of formats: 1 day a week over 14 weeks; 2 days a week over 7 weeks; 5 days a week over 3 weeks.
